Mind 

Mind is a provider for advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem, The mind charity help to improve services, raises awareness and promote understanding of mental health. 
They are a widely known charity and support service that is used all over the UK as they want to spread the word that they can support people when they need it. They have many campaigns about mental health as they want to improve the community all around the UK. 
They have a vision of not giving up until everyone experiencing mental health get both support and respect.

Mind goals are to:

  • support people who are likely to develop mental health problems, 
  • empowering people who are experiencing mental health problems, 
  • Help people to make informed choices about how they live with mental health problems
  • Improving services and support to ensure people get the right services and support at the right time to help their recovery 
  • help people live with their mental health problems
  • Enabling social participation so people with experience of mental health participate in society
  • Equal treatment for people who experience mental health and other forms of discrimination

They are very involved in helping people with mental health in problems and do there best to support them and inform them their mental health, but they also involved in campaigns about racism and discrimination as they want to improve our society as many people face these problems in everyday life and it is not right to treat someone differently causes of their mental health, disability or the colour of their skin. 
Mind are very active in trying to get legislation and laws passed in parliament all to do with mental health and the use of restraint while dealing with patients, they are very compassionate and hard workers how they try very hard to get everyone the help they need. 

During 2019 and 2020 George Ezra became a Mind ambassador , and before Covid began, he raised an incredible £168,000 fundraising on his UK tour and two shows at Royal Albert hall shows for Mind. This helped mind have move funding during the pandemic as more mental health problems in people began to develop and many had no way to reach out for help. 

Also during this time Mind was able to have :
  • 2,845 volunteers in their shops 
  • 165 more shops across England and Wales 
  • 2,500 more mind members 
  • 100,000 more people raising money for mind and donating to their work k
  • 101 local minds in England 
  • 59,000 more mind campaigner
 This shows that mind is a charity that strive for helping people and begin able to change our society so it can be more accepting to people with a mental health problem and disabilities. Mind is creating a lot of changes for the UK as they are showing to the public that it is acceptable to be different and you do not have to follow trends or stereotypes of society. Even during Covid they still were able to support people while in lockdown and expand the charity all over the UK.
